The purpose of this website is to provide support to students currently enrolled in the Business Management Programme which incorporates the NZIM Certificate in Management, brought to you by Adventure Education.

Assignments for this Programme

Assignments throughout this programme are marked on concept and analysis. Concept is based on your understanding of what is being asked in the assignment brief, showing your understanding of what you have learned from the workbook or other sources, and making it relevant to the questions. Analysis involves your application of that understanding, and your evaluation. Critical analysis involves showing your appreciation for what is good or working, or what needs improving.

The basis of the assignments are to show your understanding of what you have read and apply these concepts to a real or simulated business. Rather than writing about the theory (as we are not testing your theory), we want to see that you can apply the theory to a specific business. 

As such, while we encourage you to use information from other sources (appropriately referenced of course), please try not to over-use the work of others – for example simply copy/pasting information from websites as the majority of your assignment doesn’t show your understanding of a topic. We like to see your interpretation of the material, to show that you understand it and can apply it in the correct context.

Programme Workbooks

Workbooks are also available to students in pdf format. If you would like a copy of either papers you have done or your current paper, please contact Student Support to have them emailed to you. Also, if you you would prefer to receive all of your workbooks in soft-copy rather than paper, please let us know.
